Job title: Head of OKYC Operations
LOCATION(S): London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced leader to shape and run the Ongoing Know Your Customer (OKYC) function within Client Service Delivery (CSD), playing an instrumental role in building and delivering a first class sustainable OKYC model for all B&CB and C&IB clients.
The CSD team sits within the B&CB and C&IB operational hub in Delivery, with responsibility for the Onboarding, Ongoing Know Your Customer (OKYC) and Complaints for B&CB and C&IB clients. This role involves leading ambitious teams, playing a key role in the delivery of a client facing operation, in a business subject to Anti-Money Laundering regulations, and internal policy requirements.
This role is suitable for an inspirational and empowering leader with experience in running large client facing operations. You'll need to be a KYC Subject Matter Expert, with strong experience leading teams running KYC processes, and hold an in-depth knowledge of Economic Crime Prevention policies and KYC standards.

Key Accountabilities:
- Ownership of the OKYC journey for all BCB and CIB clients
- Crafting and implementing a fully compliant and sustainable OKYC model for all B&CB and C&IB clients
- Designing and delivering an effective operational design for the OKYC operation which drives efficiency and excellent client outcomes
- Effective leadership of a large scale client facing operation, across multiple sites
- Driving continuous improvement across colleague and client journeys, utilising data solutions to minimise customer outreach
- Supporting key programmes of change, implementing improvements to processes and procedures, whilst maintaining compliance with regulation and policy
- Management and minimisation of inherent operational risk across OKYC operation
- Representing CSD at key committees and forums including LBCM Risk Committee, Delivery Risk Committee and other key forums
- Leading and owning the BCB and CIB OKYC partner relationships (including LBCM and its subsidiaries)
- Deputising for the Client Service Delivery Director, with oversight of key activities across the broader CSD landscape in New to Bank (NTB) KYC and Complaints
What you'll need
- Excellent KYC Subject Matter Expertise – experience leading operations teams that run AML processes
- Knowledge and experience in the prevention of Financial Crime
- Significant experience of running large, multi-disciplinary functions, with an strong awareness of drivers, issues and constraints of a KYC business
- Deep understanding and experience in driving strong operational performance, mitigating risk and leading end to end customer journeys
- Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which LBG operates
- In depth knowledge of Group policy, procedures and guidelines, quality standards and all global regulatory and statutory requirements
- In depth experience of Lean and Six Sigma workflow management tools
