Job Title: Head of Nursing
Reports to: CEO & Chief Medical Officer
Location: National
Role: The Head of Nursing, will oversee Nurses across The Dermatology Partnership clinic network. Their duties include organising the nursing resource and the recruitment processes, evaluating nursing care standards, establishing a Clinical Supervision network, supporting Nurse revalidation and managing clinical consumable budgets.
Responsibilities:
- The head nurse is responsible for supervising the work of the nurses across the businesses Clinic network.
- Ensuring that they have the appropriate training and direction to meet the requirements of their roles.
- Works with the Chief Medical Officer and Quality & Compliance Head to develop care plans for patients based on evidence based practice and within the guidance and direction of corporate policies and procedures, and updates provided by the Medical Advisory and Clinical Governance committees.
- The head nurse also will develop a support plan for Nurse revalidation
- Develop appropriate mandatory and development training for the group nurses.
- Head Clinical Excellence reviews supported by the Quality and Compliance Manager
- Ensure the highest nursing standards are maintained in line with best practice, corporate policy and regulatory guidance
- Develop Nurse employment packages to attract and retain Nurses within the business.
- Ensure compliance to corporate processes such as: incident reporting, sharing of best practice, auditing, Infection prevention and control.
