We are looking for a leader who can build and motivate a talented team of brand marketers, performance & digital, social, content and comms experts. It will be vital that we create a balanced marketing strategy leveraging all the assets that First Choice has available to achieve growth at an efficient cost of sale. This role is a critical role in the First Choice leadership to embed the culture and lead the business in its new direction.

ABOUT THE JOB

As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for owning, defining and delivering the marketing strategy for First Choice within the UK market.
Build a strong and differentiated proposition by ensuring the brand is brought to life through the customer experience and delivering creative content to engage our target audience.
Own and drive the growth of our key metrics including traffic, cost of sale, brand health & SEO visibility that drive our sales. You will work closely with commercial teams to ensure the right level of investment to deliver our intended growth.
You will be skilled at turning business and brand thinking into effective integrated long term marketing strategies across owned, earned and paid media. You will ensure the First Choice leadership team and TUI senior stakeholders are bought into your plan.
You will set and manage internal and external KPIs to track marketing performance and support decision making. Having a strong focus on effectiveness to ensure the work works and is optimised over time, using qualitative and quantitative success measures including brand tracking.
Set budgets to maximise short & long term efficiency and effectiveness. The role has significant budgetary responsibility.
You will skilfully leverage our owned and earned channels including website, CRM, PR, social, influencers, content, partnerships and experiential. You will be responsible for our paid and earned channels, and some elements of our owned channels e.g. content strategy, while supporting in other areas e.g. merchandising.
You will be responsible for the First Choice marketing team across brand, digital, social, PR & Comms and content. You will inspire, influence, mentor and develop individuals and teams.
We work with a range of agency partners and effective management of our partners is critical to ensure we have access to the right agencies and excellent ways of working to define and deliver our ambitious plans.
You will take the lead on any possible extensions or localisations of the brand into new markets and geographies. This will include reporting lines of brand managers within other markets.
You will act as guardian of the First Choice brand, establishing creative standards and continuously developing the brand to meet the needs of the business.

ABOUT YOU

Experience in leading and growing a multiskilled marketing team in a growth phase of a business
Demonstrable experience of successfully planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies and campaigns
Passionate and resilient, comfortable managing change and resistance
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to drive and coordinate senior internal and external stakeholders
A strategic thinker, comfortable with overseeing multiple complex, high-value campaigns
Data driven approach to leading marketing led growth over the long and short term
Experience of managing external media and creative agencies
Proven understanding of measuring, optimising and challenging campaign analysis to support the long term strategy as well as short term.
Extremely organised with ability to manage large project and initiatives.
Proactive and self-driven, you’ll be confident in leading and motivating a team
Commercially focused with experience in managing multi-million-pound budgets
