Job description
Full time. Permanent.
The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is the leading professional association and trade union for all school and college leaders. We are proud to support and represent more than 23,000 members in primary, secondary and post-16 education who lead their schools and colleges to help to shape the future of the national education system.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the dynamic communications and marketing team, ensuring that ASCL is the most influential and effective educational organisation in the UK. You may occasionally be asked to deputise for the director.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing ASCL’s marketing strategy to maximise the recruitment of new members, the retention of existing members and to raise the profile of the association and ASCL Professional Development Ltd (ASCL PD Ltd) - a leading provider of CPD and leadership development across the UK.
The post requires a professional marketing qualification (CIM) and will suit applicants with demonstrable success in a senior marketing role. You will have the ability to analyse marketing data and trends and lead on campaigns which will optimise membership recruitment and retention. Adaptability and willingness to respond to the varying requirements of a complex role, great writing skills, experience using social media in a business environment and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are key qualities needed for this role.
The position offers hybrid working, working from home and the national headquarters in Leicester, as well as some travel and overnight stays. IT and telephone equipment will be provided.
This role is paid on a five-point incremental range, starting from £64,396 per annum. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered.
ASCL is an equal opportunities employer and offers a very generous package of benefits, including 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme to which the Association contributes 9%.
