Job Title: Head of Human Resources
Location: Primarily home-based with travel to company sites across the UK.
Salary: £60,000 per annum
NewsTeam Group is a UK wide newspaper and magazine delivery company which provides early morning deliveries to over 85,000 addresses across the UK including individual customers and small businesses. The company has a turnover of £55m+ with approximately 250 PAYE employees.
NewsTeam Group is seeking an experienced and CIPD qualified Head of Human Resources to lead the setup of our in-house HR function while managing the transition away from our current outsourced model for HR services.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and managing all aspects of HR including, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with employment law and support the overall business objectives.
- Develop and implement a performance management system that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Manage employee relations and provide guidance to managers and employees on HR related issues.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to support employee growth and career progression.
- Ensure compliance with HR related legislation and regulations.
- Managing the TUPE process for staff transferred through acquisition of other businesses.
- Lead the transition of outsourced to in an in-house HR function.
- Working with ACAS and assisting in the Employment Tribunal process as necessary.
- Working with our Accounts department on Payroll Matters.
Requirements:
- A proven track record covering the above responsibilities.
- A formally recognised CIPD qualification or similar at the appropriate level.
- At least 3 years of experience in an HR management role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- The ability to both work from home but also to travel across the UK as required.
