Head of Human Resources
London – Holborn
£80,000 + Bonus + Hybrid working
A market leading London based brokers are seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources professional to join them.
The role:
As the Head of Human Resources you will be responsible for full management and oversight of all areas of HR. You will be required to liaise with their oversea offices, provide advice and guidance to all departments and handle hiring and legal matters.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Advising on both routine and complex matters of UK employment law.
- Training line managers on an ongoing basis.
- Regularly working with other areas of the business, including Compliance and Finance.
- Promoting robust employee relations across a diverse – and sometimes demanding - workforce.
- HR administration across a broad range of areas.
- Handling with confidence any performance/conduct/discipline/grievance issues.
- Learning and development, including some training delivery and design.
- Recruitment and selection at all levels.
- Graduate training programme, to include coaching/mentoring graduate trainees.
- Working with outside bodies to foster effective relationships (such as universities, schools, etc.)
- Employee engagement and advising on employee reward when required.
- Maintaining and improving HR systems, practices and processes.
- Participation in other projects as and when required.
Key requirements:
As the Head of Human Resources you will need to have at least 10 years’ experience in a human resources management position with experience within financial services industry. This role is currently stand-alone, so will require a person who is highly motivated, curious, inquisitive, and self-starting. Amongst these requirements you must also have:
- A Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (or similar) and may well hold a degree.
- The British Psychological Society’s RQTU Test User - Occupational Ability qualification and RQTU Test User - Occupational Personality qualification (or similar) would be beneficial.
