Job Description


Role: Head of Growth (Retention)

Location: London - we offer hybrid working, a mixture of home, office as well as remote.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Here at Gousto we have an incredibly exciting opportunity, for a Head of Growth (Retention)! Reporting into the Acquisition and Retention Director, you and your team will be responsible for growing revenue from our existing customer base.

As the Head of Growth you will be drive the order frequency of our customers (help them make their Gousto box a weekly habit!), preventing customers from leaving us, as well as lead our winback campaigns (help customers rediscover Gousto). Existing customers also form our biggest sales channel, so responsibility for our Refer-A-Friend marketing channel forms a key part of the role. Outside of marketing, you also have responsibility for our pricing and promotions strategy for existing customers.

This is an extremely high visibility commercial role, with a huge impact in driving business performance!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Customer value management. Identify and action areas to improve the profitability of our existing customer base; through incentivisation, digital & physical customer experience and communications
  • Pricing & promotion optimisation. Lead development & implementation of our pricing & promotion strategy
  • Trading & forecast management. Lead revenue forecasting from our existing customer base and own trading action plans
  • CRM. Own our customer comms strategy - across platform, data infrastructure, creative, channel optimisation, engagement
  • Digital Product. As part of the Activate Tribe (a wider cross-functional team that include DP, Tech, UX/UI, DS, Analytics, Finance, Insights, Marketing) - work with Product Managers to define & execute against the most impactful opportunities to drive order frequency and prevent customer churn
  • Team development. Develop and grow a high-performing commercial & marketing team

Qualifications


Who you are:

  • Experienced commercial or trading leader, who has recently focused on Retention, Pricing, CRM, Digital Product Development or Analytics
  • Extremely analytical; with strong numerical and financial modelling skills Comfortable working directly with data science and data analytics teams
  • Structured problem solver, leveraging relevant data & analytics as needed
  • Customer focused; understanding the value and impact of amazing communications and frictionless customer experiences
  • Clear communicator; working brilliantly to get the most out of stakeholders in a variety of business functions (from operations to technology)
  • An brilliant people leader - who can evidence that they have inspired, motivated and developed a high-performing team
  • Action orientated. You love making things happen at pace, and have the skills to lead the way
  • Curious and proactive - always looking to improve the status quo for our customers and the business
