About us
The Office of the President and Provost (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) has been established to strategically advance equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at UCL. The team draws from diverse expertise to provide expert advice, engagement and support faculties and departments to advance initiatives and good practice at UCL. The structure and purpose of the team is to embed EDI initiatives into core business and mainstream the values on which UCL was founded.
About the role
Provide support to the Director of EDI, in a broad capacity contributing substantially to the achievement of successful EDI interventions Lead on EDI behaviour and culture change activities across UCL, including overseeing our learning and development activities and other EDI work to embed UCL values in collaboration with Organisation Development and other colleagues as appropriate. Lead on operational oversight of some elements of the EDI function including training design and delivery and the Report and Support system
About you
Excellent track record of leading on EDI projects and programmes for example gender, race, disability, LGBTQ and bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct An understanding of the challenges of implementing change within a large, complex institution and experience of successfully leading EDI change initiatives in complex institutions Experience of leading and line-managing team members to a high-standard Significant knowledge and understanding of the political and strategic EDI landscape at UK Universities Demonstrable significant knowledge of multiple EDI strands and understanding of the practical application of equalities legislation to inform strategic EDI initiatives. This includes a good understanding of how the Equality Act 2010 works in practice, including positive action and reasonable adjustments.
