Zenith is an award winning, market leader in the fleet industry with an exciting and dynamic customer portfolio. We are the UK's leading independent vehicle leasing, outsourcing and fleet management provider and have been providing the UK with intelligent vehicle solutions for over 30 years.
We are currently looking a Head of Engineering to build a market-leading, digital-first experience in Automotive Finance and developing our new B2B platform. Zenith has been growing the fleet by over 20% each year and needs strong Engineering experience to manage that growth. In this role, you will manage a platform that supports 150,000+ vehicle contracts and a broad B2B customer base. You will play an active Leadership role within the CTO, the Tech and Change function and the Group
Role Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of between 20 and 25 technologists across our Corporate and Commercial Engineering Teams
- You will play a pivotal role in leading the Engineering delivery across two of our largest Divisions – Corporate and Commercial.
- You will be an expert in leading the shaping and delivery of the strategic roadmap for scalable technology platforms with a focus on continuous service improvement.
- You will be responsible for the Systems/Application roadmap for the B2B Divisions on the Group, leading the development, delivery and continuous development of these complex technology stacks, providing solutions for a range of stakeholders across the Group.
- You will create an environment that facilitates innovation, your vision will be clearly understood by your team and Group-wide stakeholders
- Using analytics, you will use insight to shape solutions and build advocacy for technology developments across your stakeholders
- Manage the costs effectively for the B2B platform, across Cloud, Licences and Development Teams
- Build and continuously deepen relationships with my varied stakeholders, building their knowledge of the value of Engineering for their Businesses and Customers
Skills & Experience:
- Team Management including coaching, performance management, development and succession planning
- Experience of improving processes, teams and or systems to provide efficient and effective outcomes
- Experience of metric-driven Engineering methodology and Agile techniques
- Awareness of Testing automation techniques, TDD and BDD
- Experience of managing of scaled agile engineering practices and working with Product Management to shape roadmaps
- Strong stakeholder engagement approach
