Job description

At Cooneen Group, we are delighted to bring to market this newly created opportunity for an e-Commerce manager, based at our By Design Manchester office. The e-commerce manager will build on the on-going success of the Group in leading and developing our online sales channels, and work from strategy, driving revenue and profitability, to ensuring positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a key leadership role within the business, driving sales and traction to our E-com shops.
  • Design, develop and implement the full ecommerce strategy with stakeholder buy-in to drive revenue growth and profitability and aligned to the companys overall business objectives. To include annual budget planning, digital roadmap, and quarterly strategic reviews.
  • Feed into the apparel product strategy with data & insights from e-commerce sales, reviews and returns to create products our target audience and consumers love.
  • Responsible for e-commerce P&L, net revenue targets and other KPIs including average order size, value, conversion rates and returns for Brand Threads e-commerce stores.
  • Build and implement the e-commerce platform and integrate with current platforms.
  • Together with the third-party marketplace account managers and marketing team maximize our brand presence, driving the promotional calendar, maximizing traffic, return on investment and bringing creative ideas to generate sales.
  • Optimise the customer journey and user experience to improve conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value.
  • Provide expertise on current e-commerce industry best practice and keep up to date with e-commerce best practice of tomorrow.
  • Build and lead a high-performing ecommerce team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Grow and develop your teams skill set. This team is expected to grow and will include skills such as copyright, SEO, marketing, social media, graphics, and web development.
  • Work with stakeholders in the Marketing, Logistics and Operations teams to ensure all departments are informed and aligned.

Requirements

Essential

  • Significant experience working in a similar, high-volume e-commerce role (1m plus)
  • Proven, successful experience of managing apparel product through key e-Commerce marketplaces, e.g. Amazon / eBay / Etsy.
  • Record of driving online revenue and profitability, including creating and owning growth strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully launching new products onto the market.
  • Experience in creating, leading, and developing high performing teams.

    Desirable

  • Demonstrable experience of setting-up/ implementing an e-commerce platform, or re-platforming.
  • Practical experience listing product.
  • WordPress, Google analytics and Graphic design experience
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO (technical, on and off page), SEM, Google, and Meta marketing platforms.
  • Experience of Shopify Plus and common 3rd party applications e.g., Amazon Sellers.
  • Hands on experience with web analytics and with tools such as GA4, MOZ Pro, SEMRush, etc
  • Digital Marketing degree.
