TransferRoom is a hyper-growth B2B SaaS business on a mission to change the football transfer market for the better. We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.


Since our launch in 2017, clubs have used TransferRoom to facilitate over 2,000 transfers, and we are proud that today over 650 clubs across 100 leagues in 60+ countries are accelerating their success on the platform.

We're looking for a revenue-focused Head of Content Marketing to raise the bar on how we measure and optimise content performance in order to drive user acquisition and sales.


Outcomes

  • Craft a content marketing strategy and implementation plan that includes content pillars, an editorial calendar with cadence, and a measurement rubric.
  • Optimise and adapt the content plan continuously meet KPIs such as web traffic, page views, blog engagement and social engagement.
  • Strong focus on generating top-of-funnel, inbound leads, nurturing prospects in the pipeline and producing content to drive bottom-of-funnel prospects to convert.
  • Work with your team to develop and repurpose content using multiple formats (video, blog, downloadable guides) and channels to generate and nurture leads and drive monetisation and retention.
  • Produce captivating thought leadership content, based on data and insights, that can be used for PR campaigns, including contributed articles.
  • Provide direction to the PR team to garner regular news coverage on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee the use of social media and content channels to amplify the content created.
  • Develop a TransferRoom editorial style sheet and voice, and oversee website content updates to ensure that style is being followed.
  • Work with our product marketing team to capture customer stories and content from the TransferRoom Summits to drive interest, engagement and sales.
  • Lead and manage a team of writers, PR and comms, and design.

Characteristics

  • Experience working in fast-paced B2B / SaaS environments with tight deadlines.
  • Experience in creating and monitoring metrics to demonstrate how content is building awareness and driving revenue objectives.
  • Strong team leader with experience in people management with the ability to set clear directions and expectations for the team and freelancers, as needed.
  • Great storyteller with exceptional writing and communication skills, who can put people and customers at the center of B2B marketing content in a relatable and engaging way.
  • Keen interest in how to turn data into actionable insights to inform thought leadership and compelling content to generate and nurture leads and drive monetisation and retention.
  • Strong focus on performance data and metrics to continuously optimise and adapt content.
  • A good eye for visually appealing content and adherence to deliver content that’s ‘on brand’ and in line with design and editorial voice guidelines.
  • You have a collaborative mindset, a positive attitude and a keen interest in raising the bar.

Who you are:

  • You have previously worked in a Content Marketing position at a B2B SaaS company.
  • The ability to write clearly, compellingly, and concisely.
  • Demonstrated success in running and implementing content and social media program with clear KPIs.
  • Familiarity and experience in developing multiple content formats including blogs, videos, guides, case studies etc.
  • Sports industry experience and knowledge a plus.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
