About the role
Its an exciting time to join the Compliance Team here at AXA Global Health. Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer you'll lead and implement strategy and ensure regulatory and AXA Group standards, approach and policy are adopted within the business. You'll also work closely with and support the management team to drive the compliance agenda and culture across the business providing assurance to the operating units on the levels of compliance ensuring that they are adequately informed of the relevant regulatory risks and issues faced

What you'll be doing:
- Lead the implementation and delivery of the Compliance Framework in AXA Global Healthcare Group.
- Ensure expected standards relating to governance, control framework, minimum standards and compliance strategy are effectively implemented in all companies
- Build and maintain relationships with Executive Directors, managers, and staff in all business areas to ensure open and effective communication and resolution of compliance issues
- Own policies and procedures relating to Compliance and financial crime prevention activity
- Drive the development, embedding and maintenance of an appropriate and effective Governance Framework across the business in conjunction with the Chief Risk Officer
- Monitor and report to the AGH UK Board, Audit & Risk Committee and other relevant committees in respect of the business's compliance risks and issues
- Represent Risk and Compliance on project working groups and steering committees as required identifying any associated risks and promoting both the adoption of appropriate processes and a general awareness of risk and compliance requirements

About you
What we’re looking for:
- Relevant experience of working at a senior level within financial services in a regulatory, compliance or financial crime management role
- Detailed knowledge of FCA rules and experience in their implementation
- A good understanding of the insurance industry (health is preferred but not essential).
- Ability to develop strong professional relationships with key stakeholder including senior management
- A solution orientated mindset with strong influencing and communication skills, and an ability to challenge appropriately to reach desired outcomes
- Previous experience of leading a team
- An awareness of regulatory environments outside the UK
- A strong understanding of Consumer Duty is preferred
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
