As Head of Communications, you will manage communications with ASOSers and lead or support communications with external stakeholders (including media, politicians, trade bodies and suppliers) on ASOS’ strategy and business updates. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy & Corporate Development, you will drive an integrated communications strategy internally and externally and manage and develop a team of communications professionals.
What You’ll be Doing
- Managing and developing the Communications team including Internal Communications, Events, External Communications and Corporate Affairs.
- Keeping ASOSers informed and engaged with clear communication of our strategy and progress.
- Advising key functions on reputational risk management.
- Supporting horizon scanning activities and our understanding of any upcoming relevant policy changes.
- Developing and managing ASOS' external communications, including with our agencies, media, politicians and trade bodies.
- Drafting written material of exceptional quality on behalf of ASOS CEO, Chairman and Management Committee including speeches, internal communications, strategic updates and supporting key events including financial results and the Annual Report
- Driving a professional approach to crisis communications.
- Representing ASOS with the media, parliamentarians and other key stakeholders, including deputising for the Senior Director of Strategy & Corporate Development.
- Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Who We’d Like to Meet
- Substantial experience in Corporate Communications at agency or in-house or other relevant experience.
- Media handling and press office experience.
- Strong communication skills including extensive experience in corporate copy-writing.
- Passion for the fashion industry and ASOS.
