Job description
Designing experiences that make a difference
The BBC is 100 years old and we’re transforming to meet the needs of audiences in a rapidly changing digital age.
That involves not only continuing to deliver content that is loved and valued by all audiences, but also making sure audiences can find and attribute that content, by building consistency into how the BBC ‘shows up’ across all touchpoints (in the UK and internationally). Making our products and services more easily navigable, and our content more discoverable, ultimately helps increase value audiences get from the licence fee.
We launched a new brand design system in October 2021 which has given us a successful foundation on which to build, and this role will continue to develop and implement that system across our diverse portfolio. We’re a huge streaming media destination, a news source trusted across the world, a provider of educational and entertaining content to children of all ages, and a sports results, analysis, and commentary service, and much more besides. The BBC offers audiences an unparalleled portfolio of products, and our strength is our range and breadth. Joining up our identity across that portfolio is fundamental to sustaining engagement across all we do, and ensuring that the BBC remains a valued daily habit for all audiences.

In addition you will help to oversee correct implementation of our design system.
