Are you the person who can take content and brand to the next level at Sense? This is an exciting role developing content for our campaigns, services and fundraising – your content and creative skills will be put to good use for an amazing cause. You’ll also be our lead brand guardian and will oversee our brand management and strategy.
You might have agency experience or come from an in-house role. Either way you’ll need to be productive, creative, collaborative and have a real focus on results. We already have a very talented team in place. Your job will be to coach and motivate the team and take Sense to the next level.
You’ll have excellent written English, be fluent with Adobe CS and have great organisational and production skills. Most of all you’ll be a people person and instinctively collaborative. We’ll want to see a varied content portfolio and significant experience of digital content, accessible communications, and a strong understanding of tailoring content for different audiences.

The main objectives of the role are as follows:
Develop and implement our brand and content strategy to build recognition and salience among Sense’s key stakeholders and target audiences.
Deliver a content strategy that takes a digital-first approach, puts storytelling at its heart and helps achieve the organisation strategy.
Oversee the evolution of our brand guidelines to ensure the narrative, language and visual identity remains true to Sense’s purpose while being flexible and responsive to the needs of a wide range of audiences.
Be a brand guardian and, together with the brand lead, embed brand governance and review processes and champion the effective use of tools for colleagues stay on brand.
Lead and direct the content calendar for the team to anticipate, commission and produce inspiring and well-crafted content.
Ensure all content which is of a high quality, on-brand, diverse, inclusive and accessible.
Provide leadership in a way that inspires and motivates the brand and content team to develop their talent, and be brave and innovative, so that the team delivers and exceeds its objectives.
Manage the brand and content budget, monitoring expenditure and able to report on budget status at any time.
Recruit and manage external agencies and suppliers.
Keep ahead of external trends in brand and content marketing.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Experience in managing a brand, content creation or marketing function in the commercial or charity sector.
Track record of developing and managing communications and marketing projects.
Knowledge of strategic and creative brand development and content production in a wide range of formats, especially digital, for different audiences and media.
Experience managing agencies, freelancers and other suppliers.
Ability to think creatively about brand and content solutions to meet audience needs as well as organisational goals.
Working knowledge of accessible communication and formats.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at a senior level.
Able to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, people living with complex disabilities and with external stakeholders.
Professional and diplomatic approach with people at all levels.
Strong project management capability, including the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
