Job description
Loughborough Grammar School is seeking a Head of Army and Duke of Edinburgh Co-ordinator to join our team in this exciting full-time post. With a key role in the co-curricular life of the school, this position involves term-time work plus approximately 12 weekends and 5 weeks of expedition and training delivery during holidays.
The successful candidate will have a time allowance of 1.5 days for each of the two main roles, which will include coordinating and leading the school's Army Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh Award programme. Additionally, the role will include two days for other pastoral responsibilities within the school, such as supporting trips and assisting in other areas of co-curricular life, including outdoor activities and games lessons.
This position would be an excellent fit for an ex-service person with experience in delivering training to young recruits, especially in adventure training. While prior experience with the DofE award would be an advantage, it is not essential, as all necessary training will be provided.
In addition to a rewarding work environment, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package to our valued staff members. This includes a competitive salary package, as well as a variety of employee benefits such as a pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, school fees discount, and other perks.
