This role will be responsible for building the future of the Virgin Active Academy internally and commercially.

The Role

• Ability to refine, build and execute Virgin Active's cultural and learning strategy across the business.
• Creating, leading and coordinating the developmental, educational and cultural experiences available to our people (employees and contractors where applicable) as well as external learners, ensuring that they are delivered to both the highest quality and promote the best in inclusive practice
• Capable of building strategic leadership across the business for delivering the educational outcomes, desired competencies for business improvement.
• Acting as a professional expert adviser to the business’ Executive leadership team and the Global leadership team on all matters related to education and learning.
• Certifying there is a robust business wide recruitment and workforce planning strategy in place.

• Commercial acumen and work experience which have provided you with proven and transferable skills.
• Ability to remain professional and maintain secrecy with confidential information, at all times.
• A passion for openness and teamwork and a confidence in presenting, negotiating and working with people across the board.
• The desire to keep learning and improving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and at least 10 years of relevant, demonstrable experience.
• CIPD qualification or relevant equivalent experience or qualifications.
• 5 years’ experience leading a team.
