Lynton House Vets, Addlestone
Salary up to £33,000 DOE plus £2,000 Relocation Allowance plus benefits
Find progression and great clinical exposure at Addlestone
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Addlestone.
We provide a varied working day for our nursing team, day duties depend on the shift but include anaesthetic monitoring, care of inpatients, nurse consultations, assisting reception, drug dispensing, lab work, and maintaining a sterile work environment. The role will allow for great clinical exposure and the opportunity to work amongst a friendly and supportive team. The Head Nurse is responsible for the day to day running of the branch alongside the Veterinary Surgeons. They organise the nursing rota, manage the diary, promote nurse clinics, and continue to improve the care we offer our patients.
Rota patterns that work for you
This is a Full Time position, and you will ideally work 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Typically, the earliest start is 8am and the latest finish is 6.30pm (with normally 1 and no more than 2 late finishes a week). Saturdays are 1 in 4, 8am-4pm based at our Woking branch and you get a Friday off the following weekend. There is no OOH. We want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance therefore we are happy to discuss a flexible rota pattern to suit you. Whether you are looking to fix or flex or are needing condensed working days, we are happy to discuss. We would also welcome part time applicants.
Join a progressive practice
We are a long-established, Small Animal Veterinary Group based in Woking, Bagshot, and Addlestone. As a progressive practice, we recently relocated to our brand new, purpose-built practice in Woking, which has Silver Cat-Friendly status, and continue to invest to refurbish and equip our other 2 practices to the same high standard. We also have a purpose-built grooming salon at our main site. Addlestone is well equipped with a digital x-ray, ultrasound, capnography, an iM3 dental machine and Idexx Catalyst and ProCyte analysers.
One of the most important things to us here at Lynton is our history and local “Village Vet” reputation for providing the highest level of service and value for all our clients. Therefore, we have a loyal client base and a gold standard reputation across the local community.
We Care
Our 6 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants and experienced Receptionists across the Group. The management team are very experienced and work continuously to provide an environment where all staff feel valued, listened to and provided with a developmental pathway. The team is friendly and supportive throughout and ensuring the mental and physical well-being of all staff is a high priority for those in leadership and management roles.
At Addlestone, the team size varies however, typically you will be working alongside one to two Vets, one to two RVNs, one Student Nurse and one Receptionist.
