The Peninsula London is excited to announce we are seeking a Head Gardener to be responsible for carrying out skilled landscaped gardening alongside general garden and maintenance work. An essential part of this role is to manage the team in designing, planning, planting and growing plants, ensuring the areas are well maintained.

Key accountabilities
- Prepare ground for planting seeds, bulbs, seasonal flowers, shrubs, law and, trees and fertilize and maintain lawns.
- Understand all aspects of gardening services and management and train the gardening team to enable them to confidently deal with all aspects of their roles.
- Adhere to statutory obligations and agreed quality and best practice guidelines, including company Policies and Procedures.
- Quality control of all aspects of gardening including Health and Safety.
- Maintain plants through accepted horticulture standards.
General requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a head gardener.
- Practical knowledge of plants plus experience in using general garden machinery.
- Level 3 NHS qualification (National Horticultural Society), NVQ2 in Amenity Horticulture (or an equivalent qualification), PA1 and PA6 Spraying Certificates.
- A friendly individual who is helpful to guests, can work with confidence and enthusiasm, be self-motivated, adaptable, proactive and be a team player.
- Fluent English communication proficiency, expertise in a second language would be desirable.
