Job description
A traditional Irish Pub along the Antrim Coast seeks an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen team. Set in a picturesque village, just outside Ballymena, a unique opportunity has arisen.
Heading up the kitchen team, the successful candidate will have a great attention to detail, good team management skills, excellence financial knowledge, be used to managing rotas, staff recruitment and training and development, be comfortable driving standards to ensure every kitchen service operates without a glitch and you will thrive on a busy service in partnership with the front of house team.
Requirements

Have total accountability for the day-to-day running of the kitchen service

Controlling and directing the food preparation process and operational service

Constructing menus with new or existing dishes ensuring the use of quality ingredients

Overseeing the high quality of all dishes before leaving the kitchen

Management of all food costs, kitchen maintenance and employee costs

Ensuring standards of performance in order to maximise food sales

Supporting the kitchen team to complete their tasks to the highest standard

Ensuring that health and safety procedures are always implemented and to comply with hygiene regulations.

Maintaining all of the kitchen areas, including stores, food service areas, wash up area, staff areas and equipment
- Maintaining all equipment with due care and diligence
