This HCA post involves working within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team in a Category B local prison providing primary care, with a difference , also providing in house Mental health and also bespoke substance misuse team. Come and learn some fantastic skills working somewhere unique.
The successful candidate will be an excellent team player who works closely with patients, the wider health care team and the prison service to ensure comprehensive care is provided to residents.
The successful candidates will undertake various duties within the prison setting, including working on the in-patient unit, screening new patients, running clinics and working in partnership with other agencies to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Secure environment experience is especially desirable, but not essential. You will benefit from an extensive supernumerary period, access to a full range of training and be encouraged to develop your skills within this role.

Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
