TITLE: Ophthalmic Health Care Assistant
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Clinic Manager
SALARY SCALE: From £20,000
(depending on experience)

Established in December 2018, OCL Vision was formed from the merger of 3 highly successful, world recognised eye surgeons offering our patients premium vision correction. We offer specialist consultations, diagnostics, laser eye surgery and lens surgical treatments from our flagship clinic in Central London as well as clinics in the surrounding areas and Hertfordshire.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
· Support nurses and doctors with the day to day running of clinics and theatre
· Carry our relevant tests, monitor patients’ blood pressures, pulse and oxygen level
· Assist in the running of pre and post-operative clinics including diagnostic support
· Prepare and set up clinic and treatment rooms for consultations and treatments, ensuring the rooms and equipment are ready for use
· Stock up theatres with necessary consumables and medications
· Make sure patients’ clinical notes and theatre pathways are completed
· Enter relevant medical information into Medisight
· Support theatre team as runner/ patient escort
· Explain the post-operative instructions to patients and relatives
· Prepare refreshments for patients and relatives

- Experience of working in Ophthalmology or Optometry is desirable but not essential as full onsite training can be delivered
