Your role
We are currently recruiting for Hatchery Operatives to join our team based in our Ballymena Hatcheries.
There are a variety of shift patterns available;
1. Tuesday- Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, Saturday 6:00am-1:30pm
2. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 7:00am-3:30pm and Wednesday's 7:00am- 2:30pm
Whilst providing assistance and support to the hatchery management across a wide variety of farming activity, this Hatchery Operative role is very much a ‘first step’ in a career in agriculture. The successful candidate will ‘live’ Welfare as a Condition in all that they do. They will contribute to the efficient running of the hatchery and have the opportunity to learn ‘hands on’ how to produce high quality hatching eggs. Simultaneously, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and development via our bespoke Agriculture Academy. ‘Growing our own’ agriculture specialists and leaders of the future is something that is extremely important to Moy Park.

Desire to work ‘hands on’ in a farming environment

Must be literate and numerate.

Good manual dexterity is essential.
Ability to handle livestock is essential.
Good communication skills are desirable.
The ability to work on own initiative and learn new skills is desirable.
Previous hatchery and/or production and/or livestock and/or cleaning experience is desirable.
Evidence of mechanical aptitude is desirable
