Job description
IT Hardware Engineer
Job Description:
- Build and configure servers to customer specifications.
- Complete hardware diagnostics and repairs.
- Install, configure and maintain software and hardware components of servers, computers and network systems.
- Off-site visits to customer locations to troubleshoot/perform any repairs or upgrades.
- Off-site installation of servers, networking equipment and storage hardware with associated cabling/patching.
Skills/requirements required
- A good understanding of data centres and infrastructure.
- Vendor server hardware certifications – ideally for a top tier vendor.
- Good attention to detail with a logical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines.
- Proactive approach to completing jobs.
- Experience of working in a build-centre would be beneficial.
