Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, known locally as the “Caley”, was built in 1903 and is one of Edinburgh’s most significant landmarks. Working as a Guest Service agent the hourly rate on offer for the role is £10.50 per hour (and you will also be included in our fantastic upselling program).
As a permanent contracted Team Member, you will enjoy time and a half for any overtime, including bank holidays.

In the event of relocation from a different part of the UK or further, we can offer comfortable en-suite accommodation, on property until you find your new home (subject to availability).

As a Team Member for the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian you are responsible for overseeing your department to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience in accordance with the True Waldorf Service Standards.
- Deliver Front Office operations to high standards
- Serve as a point of contact for regular and VIP Guests
- Complete daily admin duties
- Welcome guests on arrival, deal with during stay queries and handle departure – all to standard.
- Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy
- Assist in the general running of the hotel at night including assisting other departments and setting up for the next day
