Description The City of Dublin is proud to possess a passionate guest services team that is dedicated to ensuring the cleanliness of our outdoor aquatic facilities for the enjoyment of all pool guests. Under the direction of the Aquatics Operations Coordinator and Pool Managers, the successful candidate is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the Dublin Community Outdoor North and South Pools. MORE THAN JUST A JOB Employees are eligible for up to $500 in bonuses ($250 to be paid on the first paycheck and up to an additional $250 for completing the summer season). Employees are eligible for $50 referral bonuses for each successful employee referral. The City of Dublin maintains the cost of employee certifications through the American Red Cross and training time is paid ($40.00-$100.00 value). All certifications belong to the employee and are valid for two years. Employees are eligible for a 20% tuition discount on all degree programs at Franklin University. Employees are eligible for discounted membership to the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Examples of Duties Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Completion of a daily checklist to assist in preparing the pool for opening each morning and closing each evening Picking up litter and maintaining a high level of cleanliness in, around, and outside restrooms, pool decks, concession stand, and other areas as needed Changing trash bags and ensuring all trash makes it to the dumpsters by closing each evening Replenishing restroom products, such as hand soap and toilet paper Setting up and arranging the facility as needed for various activities, groups, and events Qualifications Must be 14 years of age by Memorial Day 2022 Ability to lift and move objects including tables, chairs, and pool equipment Ability to work efficiently and courteously, individually and in a team Must be able to interact with pool guests, answer questions, and respond to issues as needed in a respectful and professional manner Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning Core Competencies Supplemental Information: All positions within this job classification have been designated as Casual in nature and all employees serving in such positions are considered to be Casual Employees. Casual employees serve strictly at the pleasure of the City and their employment may be terminated at any time for any reason, with or without cause.
