Main Purpose
Reporting to the On Train Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day front-line management of Guards and Commercial Guards.
Principal Accountabilities
- You will be managing and motivating Guards to achieve the highest possible levels of train safety, punctuality and customer service.
- You will be assessing Guards to ensure that they adhere to their safety critical competencies, and where necessary working with them to improve their standards through action plans.
- You should be an excellent example of the company's values and behaviours and through providing your team with the best service they have ever had deliver the same to our customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, be customer led, people focused and safety conscious.
- You will ideally have experience as a Guard, however this is not essential (training will be given in contingency guard) - the role is safety critical.
- You will either need to hold, or work towards, an Assessing Qualification (Level 3 NVQ).
- We are looking for strong people / customer service skills with a willingness to make a difference.
- You will need to be flexible in your approach and be willing to work varied hours. In addition there is an on call commitment.
Shift Pattern
Average of 37 hours per week, hours to suit business needs. Weekend commitment.
Normally Monday - Friday with On Call and out of hours commitments.
