An exciting opportunity to join an Award-Winning company on a permanent basis in a pivotal role within the Apprenticeships Sales Team reporting to Apprenticeship Sales Director.
Role: Growth Account Manager
Location: Remote; involving travel
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week, regular hours 08.30 - 17.00 Mon to Fri); Ability to work flexibly is essential; some early starts, evenings and overnight stays may be required
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000; 25% OTE bonus
The Growth Account Manager will help promote and manage the Sales and Marketing of Apprenticeship programmes to employers on a regional and national basis. Your primary focus will be managing existing accounts, however, the role will also involve generating new business. You will provide dedicated support to employers during every step of the journey that they have with us. This will consist of understanding what skills employers are looking for, what types of people they want to have within their organisation, understanding their culture and what it is they want to achieve. Through understanding the needs of the employers, will you then be expected to target and promote our range of Apprenticeship programmes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Proactively self-generate employer sales leads and grow existing client relationships / accounts
- Work alongside the Sales Director to identify and penetrate new markets aligned with STUK’s strategic growth plans
- Sale of apprenticeship training programmes as offered by STUK, to employers and employees
- Ownership of engagement, initial advice and guidance of prospective learners and line managers
- Assist and support the enrolment team with enrolment of learners onto Apprenticeship programmes
- Provide direction and support to the marketing team, in preparation of marketing materials and marketing campaigns
- Compile and deliver presentations to potential and existing clients; both face-to-face and remotely
- Compile detailed, costed proposals for clients, aligned to their organisational needs
- Ensure practices are regularly reviewed to maximise service delivery to the learner and client, ensuring a continuous improvement ethos is maintained
What we’re looking for in our Growth Account Manager:
- Field sales experience - selling a service to businesses, both face-to-face and via telephone.
- Experience in sale of service to all levels, able to demonstrate proposal writing.
- Competence to close sales leads (inbound and self-generated)
- High levels of time management using own initiative to manage a heavy workload and at times conflicting priorities as well as tracking progress on a wide range of tasks
- Demonstrates a ‘can do’ helpful attitude always considering the needs of the customer first
- Confident to act on own initiative and be self-motivated
- Enthusiastic and proactive in engaging with employers/learners
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage, inform and negotiate with colleagues and clients at all levels
- Understands their role in the context of safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults
Specific knowledge of Management, Improvement, Admin Apprenticeships and Apprenticeship Levy, and the ability to conduct training needs analysis would be an advantage.
