We are working exclusively with a major player within the ingredients sector, who are growing and part of a larger group, in the search for a Group Operations Manager to join their team in East Anglia. This is a huge opportunity as the Group Operations Manager role is a new position for the company and will see you supporting 6 sites across the UK and Europe.
The person that will be successful as the Group Operations Manager will be:

As a company, they’ve been operating for over 150 years and within their sector are in the top 10 in both world and European capacity sales. Privately owned and well invested in, the company employees 260 people with a turnover of £125M. Going forward there are a number of options in progress which will lead to capacity expansion and a large amount of capital projects for you to be able to get your teeth into.
The experience you will need is:
- A background within food manufacturing. Ideally this will be from the ingredients sector but this is not essential
- Operations leadership experience at an Operations Management level or above
- Ideally you will have experience of non-production based functions reporting into yourself
- Good knowledge around Continuous Improvement
Some of the key responsibilities of the Group Operations Manager are:
- The day to day operation of 6 sites across the UK and Europe
- Supporting the engineering function with asset management and guiding them towards stronger purchasing decisions
- Supporting the site technical teams with troubleshooting issues around product quality
- Promoting strong communication between all 6 sites to distil a one team, one culture mindset
- Deputising for the Operations Director when required
- Coordinating monthly operations KPI reporting
They are offering the successful candidate £60,000 - £70,000 per annum plus a sizeable bonus, car or car allowance, health care and other benefits, including potential relocation support!
