Job description
SPIROL Industries Ltd. is a global company, manufacturers of engineer fasteners; shims, spacers, spring pins, solid pins, alignment dowels, compression limiters, washers, disc springs, inserts for plastic and installation equipment.
We are currently looking for a motivated Work Group Leader for our NC Roll Forming Department to join our team in Windsor, Ontario.
The Work Group Leader is responsible for the operation, programming and tooling setup for the NC Roll Forming machine as assigned by the department Supervisor. The Work Group Leader is responsible for the inspection of products being produced to assure conformance to all specifications and workmanship standards. Job specific training will be provided.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Create and maintain machine programs (recipes)
- Work with Tooling Engineer to ensure longevity of tooling
- Tooling setups and teardowns as required for part changes
- Operate assigned production machine at optimum efficiency
- Visual and dimensional quality checks using inspection gauges
- Raw material review prior to production start
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, including operation of other machines.
- Daily maintenance on machines (lubricants etc.)
- Provide training to team members
Recommended Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably metal forming)
- Experience with tooling setups and teardowns
- High Mechanical Aptitude
- Attention to Detail
- Problem Solver/Ability to troubleshoot
- Strong Communication Skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Familiarity with servo motor motion preferred
- Numeric Controlled (NC) programming experience an asset
- Able to cross border for training
