Job Title: Group IT Application Support Specialist / Developer (Permanent)

Responsible To: Group IT Director

Location: Grange Moor, Wakefield / Flexible with 3 days onsite once upto speed

Role Background:

Prism Healthcare Group is going through a technology transformation, To support this we are recruiting a new role of Application Support Specialist to work within the Group IT function to work with the wider business on migrating a number of legacy processes which are currently managed off system.

Job Overview:

To work as part of our Group IT on a number of application changes. To redevelop legacy off-system processes (combination of MSAccess databases, SQL Stored Procedures, SQL Views and ODBC Linked Excel spreadsheets) in line with a move to an IAAS model. To provide backend support for incidents and problems relating to applications and customisations. To understand the existing MRP application capabilities and work with internal and external parties to best develop this for future growth.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support the migration of business processes by understanding, redeveloping and improving existing legacy systems
  • Become the primary contact for application business change, working with project teams to understand the detailed requirement and deciding on the correct course of action
  • Redevelop the existing process to work with new infrastructure and change in business wants.
  • Assist with the role out of the Group MRP solution into the wider Group

Skills / Attributes Required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Visual Basic for Application (VBA)
  • Knowledge of SQL and T-SQL
  • Communication skills
  • Knowledge of using APIs to interact with databases
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Ability to work as part of a growing team on time limited projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £55,000.00 per year
