SAT Pay Scale Grade 5 - £28,370 - £33,819 gross per annum

We have an excellent opportunity for a Group GDPR and Compliance Lead to join our growing team. You will work across the Eastern Colleges Group to drive a positive and proactive culture of GDPR and policy compliance.
You will lead on data protection across the Group; managing breaches, Freedom of Information and DSAR Requests, ensuring that they are managed appropriately in line with statutory requirements. You will need to stay up to date with statutory and regulatory requirements and provide advice to the Group to ensure it operates effectively and compliantly. You will also support the delivery of training to ensure that all staff across the Group have the necessary data protection knowledge and awareness.
You will have oversight of all our college policies, liaising with policy owners to ensure their policies are reviewed in line with appropriate timeframes. You will also maintain up-to-date, clear and accurate records in relation to policy compliance.
The successful candidate will have experience of data protection and compliance, high standards of verbal and written communication, excellent IT skills and meticulous attention to detail. As a self-starter, who is highly organised, this role will afford you an excellent next step in your career within a hugely supportive organisation.
Our Group is currently comprised of One Sixth Form College, Abbeygate Sixth Form College, West Suffolk College and University Studies at West Suffolk College. This role will predominantly be home-based, with the need to travel to our colleges in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich as required.
