The Waterworld Group is an independent, family-owned leisure group which operates Waterworld Aqua Park, M Club Spa and Fitness and Adventure Mini Golf. The Waterworld Leisure Resort in Stoke-on-Trent has received millions of pounds of investment over recent years and is a venue like no other. Waterworld is the UK’s No.1 Tropical Indoor Aqua Park, with over 30 different rides and attractions.
There are 5 catering outlets within our current group of trading businesses. With exposure to 300,000 visitors per year, we must focus on speed of service, while maintaining the high quality of products that our brands deserve.
The Group F&B Manager will be based at the Waterworld site, but will have leadership responsibilities for all brands within the Group. While the primary focus for this role will be developing and growing the revenue of our catering departments, this person will have input in all areas of the business. We are seeking a passionate, strong and forward-thinking senior leader to work with the Catering Manager to deliver on the above.
Job description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with the passion and desire to make their mark in an already well-established company. The successful candidate will join our senior leadership team and be responsible for all things Catering; Menu development, procurement and margin management, organising, managing and training our fabulous staff, delivering high level customer service and standards, providing input on sales and marketing strategies, recruitment and responsibility for compliance with Food and other Health and Safety requirements.
The roles and responsibilities of the Group F&B Manager will include, but not be limited to:
- Hiring, training, motivating and developing new employees.
- Implementing systems of work to improve speed of service and quality.
- Setting and updating company policies for Catering and ensuring they are followed, audited and constantly evolving.
- Optimising profits by controlling costs, working to budgets and developing new revenue streams.
- Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.
- Administration
- Shared responsibility for the security, upkeep and maintenance of our facilities with the rest of the management team.
- Maintaining an overall management style that follows company best practices.
- Providing leadership and direction to all employees.
- Working closely with the management team to lead staff across all departments, as well as Catering.
Hours
- 40 hours per week
- This role also comes with a commitment to joining the weekly-rotating out of hours on-call rota. Typically this will require one week of on call every 5 or 6 weeks.
- You will be expected to work at weekends and during school holidays, as these are the peak times for the business.

Person specification
Essential requirements include:
- Senior Management experience in Catering. Evidence of successfully delivering on objectives and organising & managing large teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Strong Leadership qualities.
Desirable requirements include:
- A background in coaching and leadership
- Qualification(s) in management, leadership and/or business
- Management experience in a fast-food setting where speed of service is paramount
- First aid qualification
