Grounds Person / labourer required for Sawmill site
A grounds person / labourer is required for a well-established family run business, situated north of Norwich. We are a fencing and pallet timber processing company and have been established for 40 years.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining our 100-acre yard and grounds
- Carry out a cleaning schedule for welfare facilities
- Clearing large areas of sawdust / bark build up around machinery
- Heavy machinery cleaning
Starting rate of pay – £11.20 per hour, including £0.50p per hour attendance bonus
Hours are 37.5 per week (overtime available), Monday-Friday. Hours can be discussed and can be flexible.
28 days Holiday per year, including Bank Holidays.
Candidate must be:
- Health and Safety conscious
- Fit, active and works hard under their own supervision
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy and have good work ethics
- Conscientious
- Able to work to targets
- Self-driven and self-motivated
Work will be carried out outdoors and in a warehouse environment.
Candidate must have own transport or a reliable lift, as punctuality and attendance is very important.
PPE and cleaning tools / products will be provided.
Position to start immediately.
There will be a two part interview process for the role (telephone and site interviews).
