We are a Caribbean BBQ and soul food company, currently based at The Dukes Head pub, N6 and have a new pop-up starting in Camden at the end of October.We are looking to expand our kitchen team and have a number of roles available. We need an experienced grill chef, preferably with a passion for BBQ and savvy kitchen assistant to help grow our brand.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentThis job involves working late nights/ early mornings and weekends.We also will offer further hours in the summer with events/ festivalsThe role pays a minimum of the LondonLiving Wage (£12/hr), however can be negotiated for applicants who offer and demonstrate adequate skills, output and high standards.Job purpose:We are looking for someone who will be able:- To Ensure all foods are properly prepared, stored, packed in a timely manner and to the right specifications and appropriate guidelines- To Ensure setting up kitchen equipment and workstation are adequately operating, stocked, organised, and clean- To understand and adhere to the waste control guidelines, all sanitation regulations, health codes, all quality standards, portion sizes, policies, and procedures.We are passionate, energetic, and forward-thinking. If that sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.Role and Responsibilities:- Food preparation for customers and for staff- Complete stock taking paperwork on a periodic basis- Minimise wastage of the food and products;- Check & complete department paperwork on a daily/weekly basis- Responsible for checking and recording of the food safety management system;- Being a strong team player and friendly to your colleagues and management;- Timely communication on outstanding tasks;- Being tidy, clean and hygienic, follow hygiene rules and regulations as per Company’s policies;Other tasks that might be associated with your role.- Lifting, bending, carrying and stretching on a regular basisExperince:Experience in a kitchen environment (1 Year +) is preferable, however not necessary. Full training will be given in food preparation in our production kitchen by our team of experienced chefs.
