Do you have the drive and determination to take the lead on conservation projects at our key sites in Greater Manchester? We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Greater Manchester team on a part-time basis.

Lancashire Wildlife Trust is the largest nature conservation body in the area. We are looking for a Reserves Officer to join our Greater Manchester team to help us realise our conservation objectives on our managed nature reserves. You will play a key role in carrying out practical habitat management – most often with and alongside volunteers.

This is a challenging role, which needs committed energy, initiative and drive. It will require team working across various departments within LWT, alongside work with external partners. You will need high levels of confidence and the ability to take the lead on projects. A determined yet friendly, professional and resourceful approach will be required, whilst dealing with a wide range of people and situations.

Our nature reserves are critical to realising two of our key strategic goals – ‘30% of land and sea is in recovery’ and ‘1 in 4 people are taking action for nature’ - and so this role will enable you to make a real difference for wildlife and people in Greater Manchester.

We welcome applications for individuals who may not have all the identified essential criteria, and would consider appointing at an Assistant Officer level for the right candidate.
