Job description

We are seeking a highly creative and talented individual to join our team as a Mug Design Specialist. As a key member of our company, you will be responsible for creating unique and visually captivating designs for our mug collections. Your designs will specifically focus on highlighting regions on Earth that are facing water shortages, incorporating local culture and art as sources of inspiration.

Regarding the nature of the role, it can be structured in two different ways, depending on your preference and what aligns with your goals and interests. Here are the options available:

Licensing and Royalties: In this arrangement, we would license your designs and pay you royalties based on the number of products sold featuring your designs. This option allows you to retain your independence and work as a freelance designer. You would receive compensation based on the success of the products in the market.

Equity Partnership: Alternatively, we can explore a more involved and long-term collaboration. By becoming a director and partner in GrowAer LTD., you would have the opportunity to directly profit from the business's success. This option offers a greater level of involvement and responsibility as a co-owner, and the financial compensation would be tied to the overall performance and growth of the company.

To further discuss the specifics of each option and explore which one might be the best fit for you, I propose scheduling a follow-up call or meeting at your earliest convenience. This will allow us to address any additional questions or concerns you may have, as well as provide you with more detailed information regarding the role, including whether it is full-time or part-time, freelance, fixed-term contract, or permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Creation: Develop visually appealing and innovative mug designs that convey the significance of regions experiencing water shortages. Incorporate elements of local culture, art, and traditions to create collections that resonate with customers.
  • Research and Inspiration: Conduct thorough research on regions affected by water shortages, gaining insight into their unique cultural heritage, artistic expressions, and traditions. Utilize this knowledge to infuse authenticity and cultural relevance into your designs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our team members, including product managers and marketing professionals, to understand design requirements, target audience, and market trends. Collaborate effectively to ensure designs align with company objectives.
  • Concept Development: Generate design concepts that effectively communicate the narrative of water scarcity in each specific region, while also celebrating the beauty and diversity of local culture. Ensure your designs convey a strong emotional connection with customers.
  • Visual Implementation: Utilize your skills in graphic design and illustration to bring your concepts to life. Experiment with colors, typography, and composition to create visually striking and marketable designs.
  • Iteration and Feedback: Receive and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders, striving for continuous improvement in your designs. Iterate on designs based on constructive criticism and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Creative Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in graphic design, illustration, and visual storytelling. Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of creative designs.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Deep appreciation for different cultures and the ability to incorporate cultural elements respectfully and authentically in design work.
  • Research Skills: Strong research abilities to gather information on regions facing water shortages, including cultural nuances, traditions, and art forms.
  • Design Software Proficiency: Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) or similar tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to design, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality in your work.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Open to feedback and able to articulate design choices.
