About you

Creative and imaginative packaging design is an extremely important factor in driving the consumer decision making process when trying a new beer so we’re looking for a skilled designer and illustrator to join the team on a 9 month fixed term contract reporting into the Head of Marketing.

The role will be responsible for the delivery of all packaging designs in adherence with brand guidelines, and suited to the product in question, as well as the sales channel and packaging format. This will include the continued development and rollout of existing designs onto new formats, as well as the creation of brand-new designs. Beyond this, the role will also include the delivery of merchandise & point of sales designs, marketing materials and customer emails.

Due to the future direction of the brand, we are looking for someone with illustrative skills as this will become an important aspect of our design going forward so the ability to adapt existing illustrations, as well as create new ones in the same style as existing will be vital.

What we expect from you

• Strongly creative – able to come up with brilliant ideas and designs for one-off beers
• Someone who can work with the team internally on any edits for newletters, socials, banners, posters, merch etc.
• Organised and able to manage their workload whilst working to tight deadlines
• Passionate about great beer, and a strong understanding of the modern beer scene
• Able to work full-time with at least 1 day a week spent in our Head Office in Hebden Bridge, Cragg Vale

Your Skills and Experience

• Established Graphic Designer with experience working with different packaging formats
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator. Video editing would be a bonus and using programmes such as Premier Pro
• Skilled at Illustration, graphic design and packaging artwork setup
• Understanding of printing dynamics (substrates/finishes, file set up etc.)
