We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team based in Leeds city centre. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing and creating visually appealing marketing materials to promote student and professional properties across seven cities. If you’ve recently started your career in graphic design or are a recent design graduate, this role is perfect for you!

Job title: Junior Graphic Designer

Location: Leeds

Terms: Full-time, Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 dependant on experience

The Role

As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will work closely with our marketing executives and alongside our graphic designer to develop eye-catching designs that effectively communicate our brand message to our primary audience of students. You will have the opportunity to contribute fresh ideas and collaborate on projects, gaining valuable experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

  • Create engaging and visually appealing designs for digital and print marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, website banners and more.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project requirements and develop design concepts that align with our brand identity.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and design consistency.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, design software, and emerging technologies to continually improve your skills and deliver innovative designs.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Support other departments and areas of the business with internal artworking and design.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications or professional training in graphic design will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Proficiency in Canva.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
  • Understanding of colour processes and artwork checking for print and digital formats.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your creativity, technical skills, and ability to execute design projects.
