Graphic Designer, Web JOB DESCRIPTION:
The West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Graphic Designer, Web to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director and committees, to create marketing material for Feast on the Farm.
The Graphic Designer, Web will be working on marketing materials for the Chamber for the Feast on the Farm event. They will create promotional material for the Feast on the Farm event, which will include: poster templates, an updated logo, newsletter templates, letterhead, advertisements, social media graphics and all other communication materials. They will also assist in the creation of promotional material for social media (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In) in both official languages. Ensure all content is bilingual to meet the needs of the Francophone population. Additional duties include updating and maintaining the Chamber’s website with new content, and participating in board and committee meetings.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must be between 15 - 30years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
Candidates must be Canadian citizens, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Candidates must be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/ territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
Bilingualism (French/English) an asset
SKILLS:
- Must be able to communicate clearly and have great time management skills.
- Must be familiar with all Adobe Software (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as a team virtually.
- Punctual, flexible and adaptable with a strong work ethic.
- To be current/relevant in graphic design trends.
- Exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
*Must have access to a laptop and internet that will accommodate the Adobe Software’s. *
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Salary: $15.50 per hour, 8-week contract (July 3rd – August 21st, 2023)
Contract length: 8 weeks
