PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team in our Welsh Office, someone who may have recently graduated and has proficiency in design work using a variety of design applications and tools.
The graphic designer will create design for both print and digital media (websites, printed material, interactive media, social media etc.)
Candidates will be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Reporting to the Marketing Director and working with the marketing team, you will create a variety of internal and client facing design work (print/digital design) in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist commercial team with design materials for lead generation and customer retention purposes
- Social media artwork design
- Print material design (brochures/data sheets/business cards/banners/conference art work etc..)
- Digital banners for website / online ads
- User guide creation
- Arranging art work print services
- Manage all design materials
- Serve as resource for Welcony for developing graphics & images and provide input for design layouts consistent with brand guidelines.
- Designing a wide range of campaign materials for online and offline client campaigns
- Creating initial design concepts and finalise design work with design software such as Illustrator and Photoshop, InDesign
- Seeing projects through from initial brief to finished artwork, always meeting agreed deadlines
PERSON SPECIFICATION
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Fluency in English
- Good communication skills (verbally and written).
- Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign/ Illustrator/Photoshop
- Able to work independently.
- A keen eye for visual details.
- Producing great creative content across digital and print, with the ability to be both meticulous and work at speed.
- Managing your own conflicting deadlines and working with internal stakeholders to prioritise and plan workloads.
- Owning the entire design process from brief through to delivery and effectively managing each step along the way - providing creative concepts, developing designs, and implementation
- Working closely with colleagues throughout the briefing and delivery stages, using kick-off meetings, mock-ups, and mood boards to work through ideas together.
- Exploring different media including photography, graphics, animation and film
- Staying up to date with change and progress within the design and marketing industry and seeking opportunities to integrate this into your work.
- To have a flexible and supportive approach with the ability to deliver large scale well-briefed jobs as well as smaller, short-notice ad-hoc jobs when the business require
- Candidates will be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Understanding website design and social media is an asset for any applicant. An eye for detail and an enthusiasm to always bring something to the table will be key to your success.
