The Best Connection Chesterfield are looking for a Graphic Designer for one of our clients based in the Chesterfield area.
Our client is a leading supplier of their products nationwide! They are looking for someone to join their well established business in printing large format textiles and PVC. You will be responsible for all pre press operations.
Hours:
- Full time, Monday to Friday 40 - 42.5 hours per week. (on-site)
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Design work in accordance with clients brief
- Helping the studio and print team work as effectively as possible, operating print equipment.
- Managing information and general administration
- Preparing files for printing.
- Evaluating print and finishing decisions (as well as graphics)
- Professional use of equipment
- Liaising with customers via telephone and email
- Generating proof sheets
- Setting jobs up for print, internally or externally.
- Helping out other departments
- Ensuring quality control
- Effective colour matching to relevant standards
- Any other tasks requested by managers or line leads
Skills and qualities:
- Ability to understand and react to instructions
- Good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
- Advanced numeracy, literacy & IT skills.
- Previous experience as a Graphic designer
- Flexible approach to working with others
