Job description

Sotheby’s International Realty Canada is looking for a multimedia- and tech-savvy Graphic Designer with a friendly and customer-oriented personality to support our sales team in the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in graphic design and customer service, and the ability to deliver quality work while juggling many clients and deadlines. Real estate brokerage experience is an asset, but not essential if you have genuine interest in the industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Services, Ontario, and Corporate Counsel & Manager of Administration, Ontario your responsibilities will include:

Marketing Account Services

Provide white-glove marketing service to our team of exceptional real estate agents/brokers:

  • Actively cultivate and grow relationships with agents/brokers in order to understand business needs and craft the best strategic and tactical approach.
  • Align agents’/brokers’ needs with our solutions to help them achieve goals, uncover opportunities and drive long-term value.

Graphic Design (Digital & Print)

Design and manage the production of digital and print marketing materials for real estate sales professionals in multiple offices across the Greater Toronto Area. This involves template-based and custom-designed materials including:

  • Digital design: website templates, online ads, social media graphics, email marketing templates, interactive content, ebooks, video special effects and more
  • Print design: corporate identity, property brochures, ads, just listed/sold postcards, listing presentations, signage, brochures
  • Ensuring consistency in design work with national and global campaigns and/or templates, across all company platforms.
  • Collect, organize and make quality control edits to all source materials including photos and videos.
  • Ensure accuracy of all files, proofs and submissions, including spellchecking and proofreading, or running user testing on digital files.
  • Manage pre- and post-production, ensuring high quality printing/production and timely delivery of all marketing materials.

Digital Marketing Support

Support the planning and execution of email and digital marketing for real estate agents:

  • Actively collaborate with marketing team members to empower agents to bring email, social media and digital campaigns to market.
  • Support creative and strategic digital marketing recommendations that may include website marketing, email marketing, digital advertising, (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), social media
  • Support the tracking and reporting on campaign progress and campaign performance.

Brand Champion

  • With the support of the Director of Marketing Services, Ontario and National Creative Director, stay up-to-date and ensure that local agents are up-to-date, on global and national brand, marketing and technology tools and resources, as well as brand standards.
  • Communicate and reinforce brand requirements to agents while maintaining the highest level of client service.
  • Support the delivery of national and international marketing, technology, digital, social media and public relations initiatives as required.

Sales Support and Training

  • Provide professional, friendly and deadline-conscious support to sales agents.
  • With the support of the Managing Broker and Director of Marketing Services, host agent training and orientation sessions on topics such as email marketing, marketing tools and technology, social media, and more.
  • Provide agents with timely answers to questions on corporate marketing initiatives and brand standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

You are a dedicated and empathetic team player, who communicates with professionalism, adapts readily to different situations and people, and are genuinely invested in the people/team you work with. You offer:

  • Min. 5 years design experience in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment, preferably in an agency, real estate brokerage or professional services environment.
  • Experience working with multiple clients; agency experience preferred.
  • Completion of post-secondary certification in graphic design required.
  • A portfolio of previous digital and print design work that demonstrates creativity and aesthetic excellence.
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe InDesign, After Effects, Adobe Premiere as well as Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Applied knowledge of HTML5/XHTML/CSS and content management systems.
  • Experience in using email marketing systems (e.g. HubSpot, MailChimp etc).
  • Fluency in social media marketing, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Overall tech-savviness with the ability to learn, use and train others on marketing technology quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, objectives and deadlines.
  • A passion for client service, and the ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically, even in challenging situations.
  • Desire to contribute to a small office environment, which requires being proactive and willing to roll up sleeves and “get things done.”
  • Experience and ability in delivering small group presentations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Deep experience with motion titling and motion graphics
  • A solid grasp on colour correction and sound editing
  • Experience and interest in using a CRM is a significant asset
