SAXX Underwear Co. is looking for a GRAPHIC DESIGNER to join the team based at our Vancouver office location or remotely within Canada. THE GRAPHIC DESIGNER WILL….
Be responsible for leading and executing the vision of the Art Director through the development of brand creative artwork in both digital and print design formats. As an individual, you have at least three years of experience working as an apparel/lifestyle Graphic Designer with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. You are a proactive self-starter, accountable for your work, proficient in time management, and comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams.
This role will see you lead and complete work that crosses multi-functional teams. Flexibility and a willingness to pivot according to changing business needs will be critical to success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop artwork files from the provided direction for owned and third-party websites, emails, advertisements, social and video, ensuring the layouts are delivered to specifications
- Prepare presentations for key checkpoints and sign-offs
- Implement copy and visual changes through a multi-revision design process
- Prepare final press and production-ready files for channel owners and external vendors
- Actively organize and maintain creative production files
- Provide timely, detailed, and effective written and verbal communication to production partners and other in-house stakeholders on the status of design activities and deliverables
- Work with multiple stakeholders on the team including channel owners, designers, photographers, and retouchers to ensure outputs meet objectives
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners (Brand, eComm, Product, External Agencies, etc.) on varied creative projects
- Actively work alongside the Marketing Project Coordinator to execute project timelines
- Stay abreast of industry, competitor, and cultural trends
- Bachelor of Arts or graphic design course (or similar) with experience in the field
- 3-5 years of working experience in graphic design preferably in apparel/lifestyle-related industry
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro etc.)
- Knowledge of the fashion lifestyle industry and ability to pull creative references (e.g. photography, stylists, editors, art directors, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of layout and typographic skills
- Ability to execute and champion visually appealing high-fidelity mock-ups
- Ability to take art direction and constructive feedback
- Strong time management skills with the desire and ability to work both as a team or autonomously in a fast-paced changing environment
Nice to have experience:
- Experience in motion graphics and building animations with Adobe After Effects
- Experience with Premier Pro and Photoshop
- Experience with the use of Figma for layout and design
