Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. is seeking a communications professional that has strong experience with graphic design who will help support the company’s communications strategy. You will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team and contribute your written and visual communication talents in the exciting pursuit of S&P’s business goals. Responsibilities:
- Create, review, edit and publish content on company and subsidiaries web sites and social media platforms under the direction of the Communications Manager.
- Assist with internal communications including newsletters, eblasts and intranet content.
- Draft press releases and other written narratives as needed for corporate communications strategy.
- Support the procurement, editing and organization of visual resources such as project photography and people photography
- Assist with the planning, development and delivery of company award submissions.
- Assist with the planning, development and implementation of internal and external company events.
- Conduct media research such as for media list updates, editorial calendars, article research, etc.
- Cultivate relationships with local, regional and national press applicable with our markets and communication strategy.
- Work with Communications Manager to proactively identify PR opportunities for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Assist with the planning, creation and delivery of multimedia content as needed.
- Assist with the monitoring of hit rate metrics of communications content.
- Assure communications content is on brand, consistent with style, quality and tone and optimized for each channel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a must
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar communications role. AEC industry experience a plus.
- Previous experience producing professional/corporate social media and/or web content
- Must be able to travel to regional offices periodically for event coverage
