JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Renwil is a home decor company with a Signature collection of over 2,000 designs of original artwork, mirrors, lighting, rugs, pillows, accent furniture and accessories servicing retailers and designers.
The heart of the company is our art studio, and the creative spark of inspiration is present in all departments. We see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for a creative junior graphic designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and online media.
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Junior Graphic Designer performs various tasks of creating graphic visuals mainly for the marketing department, but also for various departments of the company.
- Work in close collaboration with the Senior Graphic Designer on various visuals for: creative advertising projects, email campaigns, product catalogs, newsletters, digital campaigns, brochures and sales presentations, and more.
- Create and design product packaging and labels, installation guides and similar documents, in close collaboration with the product development and key accounts teams.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand. Ensure the uniformity of the brand image (charters / graphic standards / established brand image).
- Coordinate print jobs, including the preparation of print-ready files, from proofing to finished result, with various printers.
- Create photo composites of rooms/decors using Photoshop for various marketing collateral, print and online.
- Photo retouching and manipulation of product photos, adjusting colours, components, and more.
- Collaborate and brainstorm with multiple teams for a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, collateral, signage, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team, meeting deadlines, which may include multiple projects at once
- Update and maintain internal databases of design files, photos and videos.
- Perform other complementary tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
- 1+ years in professional graphic design
- Exceptional creativity and design skills; a keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, carefully supervises the details and quality of own work
- Able to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
- Ability to handle critique of one’s work
- Works well as part of a team
- Speaks English fluently
- Desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training
- Strong interest in interior design and current trends an asset
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software a strong asset
Technical Skills
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Adobe LightRoom an asset
- Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel)
- Comfortable in a Mac environment
- Experience with branding and following style guides
- Experience with photography and studio lighting a strong asset
- Experience with merchandising an asset
