Job Title: Graphic Design Assistant

Contract: NSG Business Support, Part Time, Permanent

Salary: From £15,414 - £16,834 per annum

Hours: 25 per week

Annual leave: 30 per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays

Pension: NEST Pension Scheme


About the College

  • Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

About the role

The Graphic Design Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Team in the design and development of marketing and promotional materials for the Middlesbrough College Group brands (Middlesbrough College, Northern Skills, TTE Technical (UK).


The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree in Graphic Design or Art and Design
  • Excellent IT Skills: Adobe Creative Suit, or InDesign, photo editing software including Photoshop
  • High standard of creativity and innovation with experience of commercial work or freelance work completed to commercial briefs
  • A desire to stay up to date with the latest design trends and use these to influence and create the best print and digital materials
