LSi Ltd have an exciting new position available for a Graphic Designer in our West Yorkshire based office.

We are looking for a talented, passionate, fresh and enthusiastic Graphic Designer. Someone special to add to our talented team of graphic designers.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for creating design solutions which have a high visual impact.
  • To think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
  • To work on a variety of products, including order procedures and final artwork, packaging, newsletters, corporate identity for LSi and it’s customers, advertising, exhibitions and displays.
  • Contributing ideas and design artwork to overall briefs.
  • To produce artwork and order procedures for orders being processed based on customers’ requirements within product guidelines.
  • To provide an accurate and efficient link between sales, sales administration, customers and suppliers with regards to artwork generated.
  • To provide suppliers with accurate print ready artwork which meets the customer’s requirements and amending if necessary.

Responsibilities/Main Tasks:

  • Producing artwork for merchandise/clothing orders generated by the Sales Department, by following instructions from an artwork requirements form.
  • Liaising with the sales and sales administration departments, as well as customers and suppliers regarding the generation artwork and any necessary amendments.
  • Ensuring all departmental procedures are followed and that all deadlines are met.
  • Responsibility for the efficiency and accuracy of all artwork generated.
  • Following product guidelines to ensure artwork sent to suppliers is suitable for print.
  • Generating proof design visuals and digital in-house samples with design ideas to aid sales generate new business.
  • Design and develop new products for a retail environment that can be released to others as well as our own various retail websites
  • Support the Senior Graphic Designer to complete internal design tasks, including catalogue covers and mail outs.
  • Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to ensure the smooth running of the artwork department.
  • As a small company, the position requires a great deal of flexibility on your part which may require you to help out in other areas of the business.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of design software, such as Illustrator and InDesign, and photo-editing packages, such as Photoshop.
  • Time Management -- Managing one's own time and to balance work on several projects at once.
  • Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
  • Originality and Creative Flair -- The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
  • Fluency of Ideas -- The ability to come up with a number of ideas about a topic (the number of ideas is important, not their quality, correctness, or creativity).
  • Visualization – A strong visual sense with the ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
  • Proofreading - to produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Resilience – the ability to work under pressure and maintain a matter-of-fact approach when ideas or designs are rejected.
