We’re seeking a Graphic Designer with a keen eye for detail and a knack for creating stunning visuals to join our creative in-house marketing team!
Reporting to the Creative Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating visually captivating designs that effectively communicate our brand message and engage our target audience. As a Graphic Designer, you’ll work on a diverse range of projects, including but not limited to print and digital marketing collaterals, website design, social media graphics, and more, for both external and internal marketing initiatives.
This is a remote position; you must be a resident of Quebec or British Columbia to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
- Design and create engaging visual content, including local and national campaign materials, website graphics, social media assets, presentations, print and digital advertisements, newsletters, in-store signage and banners, as well as internal communications pieces
- Adapt campaign and brand assets across a variety of different mediums and formats
- Follow brand identity guidelines to ensure consistency across all design projects
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance design quality and effectiveness
- Present design concepts and ideas to internal teams and clients, incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Ensure accurate production of final design materials
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- Proven professional experience as a Graphic Designer
- Experience working in an in-house design team (an asset)
- Excellent understanding of typography, layout and adapting brand standards
- Team player - reliable, positive and receptive to constructive feedback
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Adaptable, autonomous, and able to problem solve quickly and effectively
- Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Experience working with Basecamp (an asset)
- Knowledge of Adobe XD (an asset)
- Experience with motion graphics (an asset)
- Experience working with Canva (an asset)
- Experience in designing for retail (an asset)
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects across various mediums and platforms
