Job description
**This is a remote position. We are currently searching for office space in the GTA to move into a hybrid model, however, we will always offer fully remote, as we have employees all over Canada!
If you love creating social media graphics across platforms, editing and stylizing video content for Reels and TikTok, designing visually appealing and intuitive websites layouts, adjusting on-white and flat lay RAW photography asset files, developing stop motion graphics, and enjoy doing it all in sweatpants in front of the TV while Friends or The Office is on in the background and hanging out with some cool people, then we have the position for you!
We're hiring a full-time Graphic Designer to work under our Design & Development Lead and with our cross-functional teams in developing creative assets across digital touchpoints for various industry verticals.
We are a 7 year-old, 20+ person, Shopify Expert digital marketing agency based in Thornhill (and operating remotely) with team members across Canada! We do everything related to digital marketing including, but not limited to: organic and paid social media, Google ads, email marketing and automation, website design and development, online customer service, and everything in between for clients across the world in industries verticals ranging from fashion, food and beverage, cannabis, skincare, real estate, health and wellness, restaurants, and fitness, selling products used by celebrities and featured in Vogue, GOOP, on Shark Tank, and we even have a client who hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner!
Work with us and you would be:
- Designing Websites & Landing Pages: working with the development team in creating visually appealing, accessible, intuitive, and converting websites across mobile and desktop placements (using Figma) within the Shopify, Webflow, and WordPress platforms, as well we performing design review to ensure consistency between mockup and live builds (Development experience a big plus!)
- Designing Social Media Graphics: working alongside our social media team to create on-brand, engaging static and animated graphics that align with corresponding copy and underlying strategy to be used across social platform
- Designing Advertising Creative: working with our digital advertising team to create high converting and strategic static, motion, and video assets across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other advertising ecosystems
- Designing Print & Product Collateral: as requested (infrequently), designing print collateral such as business cards, banners, flyers, patterns, merchandise, or other physical objects that align with clients' existing digital brand identity in accordance with relevant printing requirements
- Supporting Email Design: supporting the email team in designing email templates during a resource or deadline crunch
- Providing Strategic Insight: lending your knowledge of design and design standards, as well as ideas and feedback to team members to ensure we are providing the highest quality deliverables possible
- Supporting Deadline Management: working with your team lead and Project Manager to ensure deadlines can be met or requesting additional time as needed.
- Owning Brand Identity & Quality: ensuring all assets align with client brand guidelines, as well as In Social's high standard of deliverable quality
To work with us you should:
- Know the Adobe Suite inside and out (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, After Effects, Figma)
- Have worked in some web design or web adjacent role
- Be able to show examples of your work across both digital and print
- Have a working knowledge of all digital touchpoints
- Have a working knowledge of Ecommerce (being a big online shopper counts!)
- Be a genuine person (sorry, no bullsh*t here!)
- Understand UI/UX and accessibility best practices and principals
- Be a team player, willing to help when needed to get the job done
- Have exceptional comprehension skills
- Pay exceptional attention to detail and include isgd2023 in your cover letter
- Be a strategic thinker who knows how to problem solve
- Gets along well with others and enjoys memes, gifs, and dad jokes
- Appreciate a super casual work environment, but still knows how to be productive
